Sprout partners with local, sustainable farms to provide fresh, seasonal produce available for pick-up on campus. This venture supports our local economy and food system while making healthy food more accessible to students and faculty.
Where Does the Money Go?
All of the proceeds from Sprout go directly to fund Nourish-UNC’s sustainable development projects with community-based partner organizations. This past summer, we partnered with the Health Development Initiative (HDI) in Rwanda to develop a knitting co-operative. Past projects include a music education program in Tanzania and a community garden in Rwanda. Learn more!
